At Olin College of Engineering, we believe that engineering is about using technical knowledge to solve society's problems. These pages collect work from around the college that address various aspects of growing older. Our team includes an anthropologist who studies the relationships between work, meaning, and identity; engineers who create technology that helps people remain active, connected, and vital; and designers who learn with our community partners even as we address opportunities to improve lives. We teach a class – for students at Olin, Babson, and Wellesley Colleges (Brandeis students welcome also!) – and run workshops at conferences and other venues. On this site you will find information about our work as well as pointers to a film, two books, and a variety of publications on these topics.
